For example the large front bonnet is integral to committing to the original proportions of the Spitfire, and has been used as an illusion to make the car body appear large. In reality it is actually relatively small to help accentuate the unique experience that is flying a Spitfire. Continuing this theme, the prominence of the cockpit replicates the visibility pilots once had when flying the famous warplane.

A dramatic rear end has been created through inspiration taken from the 1964 Shelby Daytona, encouraged through a personal respect for Carroll Shelby’s design and passion. Thus resembling the Spitfire through a rear end that flows with the design of the cockpit with a powerful sharp edge which adds to the masculinity of the Merlin 75.
